Single-Day Mathematics in the Ancient World Camp

Why is a circle 360 degrees? How did Babylonian merchants quickly add large sums? For one day, students will leave behind the numerals they are familiar with to answer these questions and many more. We will explore the numeral system of the ancient Babylonians, the lasting implications of their mathematics, and the tools they developed to aid in their inquiry.

Deadline to register is July 2nd. Camps have a minimum enrollment. CANU reserves the right to cancel and refund a camp up to one week before its scheduled start date. Families of all registrants will be contacted with further details a week before each camp begins.
